I began my journey into bodywork in 1999 at the International School of Shiatsu. I immediately fell in love with this unique modality along with the history and traditions surrounding Eastern Philosophy. Simultaneously I embarked on a deeply committed practice of Ashtanga Yoga, its physically challenging asanas along with the lifestyle and spiritual work that surround the practice allowed my life to transform. I studied and practiced with top instructors in Iyengar, Kripalu, Ashtanga, Childsplay Yoga and Soothing Touch Yoga, completing my 200 hour Certified Yoga Teacher training in 2005. I still teach locally and my clients benefit from my ability to incorporate useful and easy everyday yoga that can enhance the benefits of massage. I have completed the Cranial Sacral level one training through the Upledger Institute, and find this another useful tool I use in my practice.
For 9 years I taught the Shiatsu portion of the required curriculum at Health Options Institute for Massage Therapy. I designed the level 1 and 2 Shiatsu programs that touched the lives of all Health Options Graduates from 2009 to 2018. My students were my inspiration to finally take the program myself and round out my many studies with more Western based Massage Therapy. I am trained in Deep Muscle Massage, Swedish Massage, Sports and Orthopedic Nueromuscular Therapy and Reflexology. I currently practice massage out of Priority Physical Therapy in the lovely West End of Allentown, Pennsylvania.
I look forward to hearing from you and sharing my skills to help you find peace and tranquility.
